Today, the grade 7/8 baseball team competed in a tournament in Camalachi.
There were 10 teams in the competition, and our team placed first overall!
Congratulations to the whole baseball team for their hard work and determination!

Here are some ideas of who you could invite....
You can sign up a group from your workplace or church.
Maybe you can sign up with a few friends or neighbours.
Sign up on your own and we will place you with a group.
There are lots of ways to enjoy a fun and friendly round of golf and help support HCS!
Or you can always join just for a delicious dinner!

It is hard to believe this is our last events reminder for this school year!
The end of year assembly will be for giving out awards but also will be a chance to say an official good-bye to our grade 8 class, and any teachers who will not be returning the following year. We encourage our membership to attend this special assembly!
Please note that there are also a lot of field trips this month so please contact your students teacher about dates and times for any special events for that grade.

A few pictures from last Friday`s "Fun and Fancy Day"!
Our "Dress Down Days" are not just about having fun as a school, but it is a way we raise money for EduDeo Ministries. Students pay 25 cents to participate and all the money goes to EduDeo which provides Christian Education to children in countries who may not have access to education.

Last Friday we had our Huron Christian School track and field meet which took place at St. Anne`s Highschool Track.
We were thankful the weather cooperated and we were able to get in all the events.
It was great to see all the students determination and hard work at each event.
Congratulations to the students who have advanced to the district track meet in Strathroy on June 7.
Check out the HCS Facebook page for more pictures!

Grade 4 had a field trip to Goderich where they learned new things at the "Historic Gaol" and "Huron County Museum". They also had a chance to check out the boardwalk, lake front and park!

Due to a scheduling conflict our school was not able to attend the annual Chess Tournament.
But we were able to set up a chess meet with Strathroy Christian Community School. Fifteen students from both schools, ranging from grade 4-8, faced off in some friendly chess games. Students found themselves to be better competitors that expected in, for some, their first competitive games.

Last week JK and SK had a lovely "Mother`s Day Party" where they were able to invite a special woman in their life to come to the school and dress up for this event. Their guests were able to enjoy some food, receive handmade gifts and hear a sweet performance.
