Devotions & Business Staff Meeting
Mr. Kaastra came to school yesterday morning to share his knowledge of trees with the Grade 3 class.
The grade 3 class had just wrapped up their leaf
projects so this was a great way to bring the projects to life. Mr.Kaastra and the Grade 3 class planted a new tree as well on the far side of the soccer field. Something to be enjoyed for many years to come! 🙌🏻

We are excited to kick off our annual Chocolate Letter Fundraiser in support of the Student Fund! The money raised goes directly back to our students, helping to purchase items such as Chromebooks, playground equipment, and reducing the cost of field trips.
This year we have 2 easy ways to place your order.
• JotForm (preferred option): A quick and simple way to submit your order online. Link can be found in our bio.
You must click the box beside the letter you are ordering for it to be counted. Your total will be calculated at the bottom of the form.
• Paper Form: A fillable form is attached for those who prefer a traditional option. Please reach out to any one of our students for a hard copy .
Both forms include two sections—one for milk chocolate letters and one for dark chocolate letters.
Order deadline: Friday, October 17
Payments: Payments can be made by cash, cheque or e-transfers can be sent to office@huronchristianschool.ca. Please put in the comment box ‘chocolate letters’.
Thank you so much for supporting this fundraiser—every order makes a difference for our students! 🙌🏻

Today was all about honouring the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. HCS staff & students wore orange to show our support and spent time learning about Indigenous culture and the impact of residential schools. Every Child Matters 🧡

Our SK students went on a field trip to Maitside Apple Orchard in Brussels recently. God blessed them with a beautiful day. They learned that there are so many different varieties of apples and so many different ways to enjoy apples! They got to see the apple press in action, see the store, pick apples, have a snack and play some games. They each brought home 5 apples. But, still had so many more apples left! So, they invited the bus drivers to their classroom to have a special apple sauce party!

Don`t forget!! 📸 School photos are scheduled for this Friday, Sept 19. Please dress in official school uniform. Retake day is Tuesday, Nov 4th.
