Give your Child’s Education
Christian Context
In an era when many families are asking essential questions about their children’s education, Huron Christian School provides an alternative Christian education rooted in a 60-year legacy committed to educational excellence.
Does the foundational worldview of your children’s education matter? We answer with an unequivocal yes, and it is our goal to educate and equip your children in a context that showcases Christ’s light and love. For decades, our graduates have been using their education and skills to build their communities and to serve the world.
If you’re interested in whether Huron Christian School is a fit for your family, we urge you to contact us to schedule a school visit and talk with our staff. Find out why we value a Christ-centred education!
It is hard to believe this is our last events reminder for this school year!
The end of year assembly will be for giving out awards but also will be a chance to say an official good-bye to our grade 8 class, and any teachers who will not be returning the following year. We encourage our membership to attend this special assembly!
Please note that there are also a lot of field trips this month so please contact your students teacher about dates and times for any special events for that grade.

A few pictures from last Friday`s "Fun and Fancy Day"!
Our "Dress Down Days" are not just about having fun as a school, but it is a way we raise money for EduDeo Ministries. Students pay 25 cents to participate and all the money goes to EduDeo which provides Christian Education to children in countries who may not have access to education.

Last Friday we had our Huron Christian School track and field meet which took place at St. Anne`s Highschool Track.
We were thankful the weather cooperated and we were able to get in all the events.
It was great to see all the students determination and hard work at each event.
Congratulations to the students who have advanced to the district track meet in Strathroy on June 7.
Check out the HCS Facebook page for more pictures!

Grade 4 had a field trip to Goderich where they learned new things at the "Historic Gaol" and "Huron County Museum". They also had a chance to check out the boardwalk, lake front and park!

Due to a scheduling conflict our school was not able to attend the annual Chess Tournament.
But we were able to set up a chess meet with Strathroy Christian Community School. Fifteen students from both schools, ranging from grade 4-8, faced off in some friendly chess games. Students found themselves to be better competitors that expected in, for some, their first competitive games.

Last week JK and SK had a lovely "Mother`s Day Party" where they were able to invite a special woman in their life to come to the school and dress up for this event. Their guests were able to enjoy some food, receive handmade gifts and hear a sweet performance.

Don`t forget that our spring membership meeting is this Thursday, May 18 at 8pm.
This will be a meeting about budget, new policies and voting in members of our board for next year.
We encourage all members to join this meeting (or to have at least one member of their family attend) so each family can stay up to date on important information about our school. These meetings are a great chance to learn more about the school, ask questions and connect with other members.
This meeting is for members of Huron Christian School only as there will be items to be voted on.
